Maintenance for PVC Plastic Floor

　　Maintenance attention：During our interview with the PVC flooring users, we found many clients use the PVC flooring as marble, ceramic tiles. They don’t know the maintenance knowledge, which cause the damage and stain of PVC flooring. So, what we should pay attention to during the usage of PVC flooring?

　　1. Sand and stone protection: Put a door mat at the door of the room and the lobby entrance, in case the shoes bring sand and gravel into the room with PVC flooring to scratch the floor.

　　2. Goods carrying protection: When carrying heavy goods, especially there is sharp metal at the bottom of the goods, don’t drag the goods on the PVC flooring to avoid damage of the floor.

　　3. Cigarette and fire protection: although the fireproof grade of the PVC floor is B1 grade, it dosen’t mean that the floor won’t be hurt by smoke and fire. So, when using the PVC floor, please don’t put the burning cigarette tip, mosquito incense, electric iron, high temperature metal objects directly on the PVC floor surface, avoiding the damage of the floor.

　　4. Regular maintenance: Please use neutral cleaning agent to clean the PVC floor, can’t use strong acid or base to clean the floor, and maintenance the floor regularly.

　　a. Daily maintenance: Clean the floor with a clean mop of 90% dry. If it is seriously polluted, it is necessary to clean it specially.

　　b. Monthly maintenance: polish floor wax when floor cleaning and partial foundation damaged, especially the homogeneous PVC floor, it is generally need to polish wax once per month.

　　5. Stain treatment: the stain of Ink, food, greasy on the PVC floor should be swept away, then use diluted detergent to clean the mark. For the black leather shoe print, when it is very difficult to clean, bedew the veil with rosin water to clean the stain. Don’t drop the rosin water on the flooring, curing the wax after cleaning.　　

　　6. Remark: don’t use cleaning ball, knife to scratch the floor. For the dirt that cannot be cleaned by conventional methods, please consult professional person. Do not arbitrarily use acetone, toluene, and other chemicals

　　7. Chemical protection: Avoid a large amount of water staying on the floor surface for a long time, especially the plank floor, homogeneous floor, a long time water immersion will seep under the floor to make the floor glue melt and lose adhesion, It may also cause floor contamination by stratifying the protective wax water on the floor surface, or seep sewage into the floor interior to cause discoloration of the floor (homogeneous flooring)　　

　　8. Sunshine protection: Avoid direct strong light irradiation, do a good job of ultraviolet radiation on the floor, prevent discoloration and discoloration of the floor.

　　I. Purpose of cleaning and maintenance

　　1. Improve appearance: It’s to remove dirt produced in daily use in time, make elastic floor fully show its special appearance and natural glossiness.

　　2. protect the flooring: make the elastic floor free from the accidental erosion of chemicals, cigarette marks, shoe prints, oil and water, reduce the mechanical wear of the surface to the minimum, make the durability of the floor fully play, and prolong the service life of the floor. 

　　3. Convenient maintenance: due to the tight surface structure and special treatment of elastic floor, that paying attention to daily cleaning and maintenance can make the floor more easy to maintain, and prolong the service life

　　Second Matters needing attention in maintenance.

　　1. All kinds of dirt on the ground should be cleared in time.

　　2. It is absolutely forbidden to soak the floor in the open water, although some ground uses waterproof glue to separate the water source (such as floor drain, water house, etc.), but the long period of soaking by water will seriously affect the service life of the floor. In the process of cleaning, water suction machine should be used in time to dry the sewage.　　

　　3. The maintenance period should be shortened and the high strength wax polishing times should be increased at high traffic area.

　　4. Never use hard, rough cleaning utensils (such as steel balls, cloth, etc.) and prevent sharp objects from colliding with elastic floors.    

　　5. It is highly recommended to place foot pads at the entrance of high traffic flow public places to prevent the dirt, sand etc tainted things from scratching the flooring.

　　Three, the maintenance method of different stages: 　

　　(1) after the floor is laid / before using clean maintenance

　　1. First remove dust and debris from the floor surface. 

　　2. Add 3M red abrasives or similar products to clean the floor at low speed (diluted with water at 1:20 with a powerful general cleaning agent), to remove protective wax, grease, dust and other dirt on the floor surface, Use a water suction machine to drain the waste water.     　　

　　3. Wash with clean water and suck the floor dry.

　　4. According to the situation , polish 1-2 layers of high strength waxes.  Cleaning agent: strong general purpose cleaning agent high strength surface wax  Tools: Ground grinder, red mill, water absorber, wax towing water machine

　　(2) Daily cleaning and maintenance

　　1. Push dust or vacuum cleaner to vacuum. Drag the dust agent on the ground, dry it and push the dust.

　　2. Wet sweeping. Mix floor cleaning agent with water at 1:20 and sweep the floor with a half-wet mop. If necessary, you can also use ground cleaning machine with wash&shine at low-speed cleaning.  Cleaning agent: ground towing agent floor cleaning agent  tools: dust push mop　　

　　(3) Regular cleaning and maintenance 

　　1. Dusts or vacuum cleaners.

　　2. Floor cleaning and polishing agent by 1:20 water dilution, towing or with high-speed polishing machine plus red grinder for grinding.

　　3. 1-2 layers of high strength waxes.

　　4. If necessary, use with high-speed polishing machine and white polishing pad to do polishing treatment.   Cleaning agent: floor cleaning and polishing agent, high strength surface wax  Tools: dust grinding machine, red, white grinder, water suction machine, wax towing water machine　　

　　(4) Thorough refurbishment

　　1. use pushing dust machine or vacuum cleaner to vacuum.

　　2. Use a strong wax diluted with water at 1: 10, then spread evenly on the ground, and wait for 5 - 10 minutes, then clean and dewax with a ground cleaning machine and red grinding at low speed. Use water absorption machine  to dry the sewage in time.

　　3. Wash with clean water and suck the floor dry.

　　4. According to the situation , polish 1-2 layers of high strength waxes.  Cleaning agent: Floor cleaning agent,  high strength surface wax  Tools: dust mop, Ground grinder, red mill, water absorber, wax towing water machine

　　(5) treatment of special dirt

　　1. Oil stain: partial oil stain, drop the water removing agent raw liquid directly on the towel and wipe the stain; large area oil, dilute water base oil removal agent with water at 1:10, then clean the floor with a ground wipe machine plus red grinder at low speed.

　　2. Black offset printing: use spray-cleaning maintenance wax with high-speed polishing machine and white polishing pad to do polishing treatment.  For longer time Black glue stain, we can pour strong black offset printing remover directly onto the towel and wipe the stain. 

　　3. Glue or chewing gum : pour the professional strong glue remover directly on the towel to wipe the stain.  Cleaning agent : Water base oil remover, spray - cleaning maintenance wax, strong black offset printing remover.
